OnPlate Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OnPlate handles information when you use the app to extract, save, and navigate records from links you provide.

Information We Collect

How We Use Information

We use your information to authenticate your account, extract and save records, show your saved collection and map pins, enforce usage limits, improve reliability, and provide support.

Storage and Access

Your saved records are stored in Firebase/Firestore under your authenticated user ID. The app is designed so users can read only their own saved records. Backend services perform writes and quota updates.

Third-Party Processing

OnPlate uses third-party services such as Firebase Authentication, Firebase Hosting, Firestore, Cloud Run, Google Maps services, and AI analysis services. Submitted links may be sent to these services as needed to provide extraction and mapping features.

Payments

If subscriptions are enabled, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. OnPlate does not receive your full payment card details.

Data Retention and Deletion

Saved records remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Account deletion removes your saved records and profile data from the app database.

Security

We use authenticated requests and per-user database paths to protect saved records. No system is perfectly secure, and you should avoid submitting links or content that you do not want processed by the service.

Children

OnPlate is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the service if you are not old enough to consent to these terms in your location.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of OnPlate after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Contact

For privacy questions, contact the app owner through the support channel listed in the App Store or TestFlight listing.
